Arturo Schomburg Symposium on COVID19 and Inequality

What:

This coming Saturday, from 9 am - 4:30 pm Taller Puertorriqueño is hosting the 25th annual Arturo Schomburg Symposium https://tallerpr.org/event/covid-19-a-color-canvas-of-inequality/. Here is a bio on Schomburg for those of you not familiar with the history of this brilliant Afro-Puertorican scholar  https://www.blackpast.org/african-american-history/schomburg-arturo-alfonso-1874-1938/. Taller is the Latinx community organization we will be visiting in late March and April for two tours (Gallery and Murals/Neighborhood). We will cover the first 10 student’s registration. We will also provide grab and go breakfast and lunch from Jezabel’s the Argentinian café in West Philadelphia https://www.jezabelscafe.com.

You are not expected to attend the full day and can attend as many sessions as you like. Please let us know by Tomorrow at noon, at the latest, if you are interested in attending and we can also account for how much breakfast and lunch to get. RSVP is simple, just respond to this email and let me know if you are interested and I’ll complete the registration with Taller Friday afternoon!

Nos vemos!
