Taylor Boggs

Graduate Associate
Class of '28

Hola! My name is Taylor Boggs, I am 26 years old, I am a MSW student at the School of Social Policy & Practice, and I am an aspiring Public Health Social Worker. I am originally from Tampa, Florida where I graduated from the University of South Florida with my BS in Public Health. After graduating from USF, I worked as a server for a year at an awesome British pub in Tampa (the men and women were required to wear Scottish kilts) to earn enough money to follow my dream of joining the Peace Corps. In March 2015 my dream came true, I packed up my life and moved to Nicaragua to serve as a Community Health Promoter in the Peace Corps where I specialized in sexual and reproductive health and maternal and child health. Additionally, I served for a year as co-chair of Peace Corps' Peer-Support Network Committee where I planned relationship-building retreats, trained volunteers on sensitive topics like coping with unwanted attention, and provided peer support through a confidential calling system. With all the experience I have gained through Peace Corps, I look forward to taking on the new and rewarding journey of being a Graduate Associate with the Fisher Hassenfeld House this Fall! I am extremely stoked to be apart of the team!
