There has been lot of call to action for voting lately, and in addition to just go to the polls this year, it’s important to be honest about the historical and current shortcomings of both political parties, and address historical and current barriers that prevent people from exercising their right to vote. We need to acknowledge the flaws of voting to be more empowered by our votes. This event is designed to talk candidly about voting in its past and now and what voting is doing (and not doing) for us.
