Hey everyone, this is a pretty relevant and interesting article in yesterday's Times that y'all might find interesting as you begin your college careers. Some of it is high school-specific, but it talks about the transition and the social dynamics involved in finding your niches and what that means for your future interactions and success later on in life. Take some of it to heart, I wish I had read it my freshman year. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/02/health/02mind.html?_r=1&scp=1&sq=popularity%20scale&st=cse&ore...

The career center has on-line resources for finding internships, the College Office can connect you with alumni in many fields and your parents and friends may know someone looking for help. Summers can be a great time to try a job or field where you have interest while getting some great experience. For the most part once you graduate you won't have summers off to play, try out new things and opportunities. Take advantage of your summer months now. If you need...

Trash 101 and Recycling!
Posted by: April Herring
Published:
You have probably seen trash strewn across the upper quad on any given morning. That is because the squirrels love to go through your trash and they are not worried about cleaning up after themselves. Please take your trash to the Memorial tower or Speakman trash rooms. You shouldn't put it outside the entry doors or in the bathroom. Housekeeping can't throw away 460 people's...
